I'm Claire. Yoga teacher and enthusiast for straightforward and honest wellbeing.

My journey with yoga started around 9 years ago. At first it was all sweaty, fast heart rate stuff that matched my energetic attitude to life. But it was the slow moments and accompanying yoga philosophy that really changed my life, gradually melting away my frazzled stress levels. With over 8 years experience in the busy corporate world, I know what it is like to feel stressed, strained and burned out. Fed up, I packed my bags and headed to India in 2018. I've been teaching and expanding my knowledge ever since, with over 450 hours of yoga alliance certified teacher training and accreditation from the Federation of Antenatal Educators (FEDANT). My quest for a grounding in the science of yoga led me to complete a Master's degree in the psychology and neuroscience of mental health, so I'm a big believer in function over form.

The classes I offer may be dynamic, drawing from vinyasa, ashtanga and rocket yoga styles, or be more grounding, using elements of restorative and yin yoga, pre/post natal yoga, breathwork, and meditation. I am passionate about offering space for individuals from a range of backgrounds to work towards a calmer and clearer mind. My approach to teaching is light-hearted and open with the aim of being welcoming to all: all bodies, genders, experience and energy levels. Come sit with me!

When I'm not on the mat you're likely to find me swimming, surfing or running at the coast by my home in Tynemouth, or straight chilling with my dog Ziggy.
